Plywood used for exterior wall cladding is specially manufactured to suit this application.
The plywood is treated to Hazard level H3 for protection against fungal decay and insect attack. Treatment can be either a core treatment or envelope treatment. When an envelope treatment is used the raw edge exposed after cutting must be treated to maintain the “envelope” integrity.
Cladding plywood is supplied with a “rough sawn” appearance in either a solid face or grooved face. The long edges have a ship lap profile for easy joining.
