The CS10 slate is a very durable and hard slate quarried in Newfoundland. The slate is similar to the well known Welsh slate in both appearance and colour.
Using semi automated equipment the slate is cut to precise sizes and thicknesses ensuring consistent quality. This precision allows for less on site sorting and easier fixing thus reducing costs.
The slates meet the highest categories of the American, French and British Standards allowing for a service life in excess of 100 years. The mineral composition of the slates is such that there is no colour fading, very low absorption, resistant to acid and not affected by freeze-thaw cycles. They are naturally non combustible.
Standard size is 508mm x 254mm. Thickness 4 – 6mm.
